Taking action for a client to help prevent a major loss

Stone Insurance Brokers is a local insurance agency offering auto, property and liability insurance. They pride themselves on building relationships and trust with their clients.
In May, the firm’s president and CEO was driving past a client’s agricultural testing facilities when he noticed that a fire was fast approaching. There were no workers onsite, so after calling for help and attempting to contact the owner, his next action was to save what he could.
First, he grabbed laptops and any documentation he could find. Then, he kicked down the shop door and started driving farm equipment to a safe distance. And when the fire was only 50 yards away, he took as many photos as possible of the remaining equipment and contents, before the fire crew instructed him to evacuate.
As one of Wawanesa’s “Going the Extra Mile” recipients, Stone Insurance Brokers is directing its $10,000 donation to Manning & District Ski Club.
